Kent Car Accident Leaves 1 Women Dead

April 6, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

A 36-year-old Kent woman died Monday evening in a rollover accident on Route 167 near South 277th Street, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Troopers said the woman was southbound on SR167 in a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer just before 5:30 p.m. when she swerved into the High Occupancy Vehicle lane to avoid slowing traffic and struck another car. Her car rolled, and fire officials reported she was ejected from the vehicle. The woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 59-year-old woman, was not injured.

It’s sad how often split second poor judgment leads to death, but that’s life. RIP.

Cases like this are brought to our attention everyday for the non at fault driver. If the women who’s car was struck was injured she would have a car accident lawsuit to pursue against the at fault driver’s insurance company. Not only could she ask for compensation for her medical bills, but for the pure inconvenience as well, among other things.
